Privacy policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
Varex HQ ("we", "us", "our") operates the website varexhq.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site, and explains your privacy rights under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and EU GDPR).
Varex HQ is operated by VAREX HQ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 17413236), with its registered office at Office 20645, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom.
1. Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. We refer to this automatically-collected information as "Device Information."
When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment details (processed securely by our payment provider — see Section 4). We refer to this as "Order Information."
2. How We Use Your Personal Information
We use Order Information to: fulfil orders placed through the Site (including arranging shipping and providing invoices/order confirmations); communicate with you; screen orders for potential risk or fraud; and, in line with your preferences, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products.
We use Device Information to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, and to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how customers browse and interact with the Site).
3. Sharing Your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use it as described above. For example:
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform provider, which powers our online store, hosts our Site, and processes payments and order data on our behalf. You can read more about how Shopify uses your personal information at: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Order fulfilment partners (including CJdropshipping and other suppliers accessed via DSers/Trendsi) — to prepare and ship your order directly to you.
- Judge.me — to collect and display product reviews.
- Analytics and marketing providers (such as Meta/Facebook, Instagram, and Google), where used, to help us understand how customers use our Site and to show relevant advertising.
We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
4. Payments
All payments on this Site are processed securely through Shopify Payments, supporting major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and Shop Pay. We do not store your full payment card details on our own servers. Payment processing is subject to Shopify's own privacy and security practices: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
For clarity: we do not use Stripe as a customer-facing payment processor on this Site. Wise Payments Ltd is used solely as our internal business account to receive payouts of our own sales revenue from Shopify — it does not process, store, or have access to your payment card details as a customer.
5. Children's Data & Security
Our Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 9 so we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (including encrypted connections and access controls provided through our Shopify platform) to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights Under UK/EU GDPR
If you are a resident of the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request erasure of your personal information; object to or restrict our processing of your personal information; and request portability of your personal information. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 9.
7. International Data Transfers
As our Site is powered by Shopify, some of your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed outside of the UK/EEA, including in the United States and Canada, in accordance with Shopify's own data transfer safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). By using our Site, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing in accordance with applicable data protection law.
8. Digital Gift Cards
If you purchase a digital gift card from us, we collect and process the recipient's email address (if different from your own) solely for the purpose of delivering the gift card. This information is not used for any other marketing purpose without separate consent from the recipient.
